Empathy
As a community leader, I rely on my experience from both bear and bull markets to help others through their first experiences. Emerging tech certainly has its pitfalls but my overall experience has equipped me to handle an extremely wide variety of situations and genuinely empathise.
Education
Web3 moves so fast that you’re all but obligated to make sure you’re up to date on the good and the bad.
I avoid boredom in education through creative means like Jeopardy/Trivia style quizzes, talks with interesting and knowledgeable guests, and potentially rewards for participants.
“An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” is the driving motto here.
Expectation-Setting
When I started as a community manager, I listed three goals, one for the short term, one medium, and one long term. By grouping goals, and communicating them clearly to your community, you avoid pitfalls of the fear of a rug pull and give your community something to look forward to over multiple time frames.
Enthusiasm
Every day I get to work with communities is a blessing. I’ve been honored to get to help shape new friendships and connections all across the world using technology, art, and culture.
I believe that people, when supported, can create amazing things, no matter their circumstances.
